1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the services of Inland Express, the shipper and the receiver agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all shipments handled, transported, or arranged by Inland Express unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Services Provided
Inland Express provides international air freight and logistics services from the United States to East Africa, including but not limited to:
· Parcel shipping
· Cargo transportation
· Package consolidation
· Customs clearance assistance
· Delivery coordination within East Africa
All services are subject to availability and applicable laws and regulations.
3. Shipment Acceptance
Inland Express reserves the right to refuse or suspend shipment of any package that:
· Contains prohibited or restricted goods
· Is improperly packaged
· Does not comply with airline, customs, or government regulations
· Is considered unsafe or illegal
Shipments may be inspected or scanned by security authorities at any time.
4. Packaging Requirements
The shipper is responsible for ensuring that all items are properly packed and labeled to withstand air transportation.
Inland Express is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging provided by the shipper.
Fragile items must be clearly labeled and packaged with sufficient protective material.
5. Prohibited and Restricted Items
The following items are strictly prohibited unless special authorization is obtained:
· Hazardous materials
· Explosives or flammable substances
· Firearms and ammunition
· Illegal drugs or narcotics
· Counterfeit goods
· Perishable items without proper handling arrangements
Additional restrictions may apply depending on airline regulations and destination country laws.
6. Customs Clearance
The shipper is responsible for providing accurate customs documentation, including:
· Commercial invoices
· Item descriptions
· Declared value of goods
Inland Express may assist with customs clearance; however, any duties, taxes, or government charges are the responsibility of the receiver or shipper.
Delays caused by customs authorities are outside Inland Express’s control.
7. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times provided by Inland Express are not guaranteed. Delivery may be affected by:
· Customs clearance delays
· Weather conditions
· Airline schedule changes
· Security inspections
· Government regulations
· Natural disasters
· War or civil unrest
· Airline disruptions
· Government restrictions
· Pandemics or health emergencies
Inland Express will make reasonable efforts to deliver shipments within the estimated timeframe.
8. Liability and Limitation
Inland Express's liability for loss or damage is limited to the declared value of the shipment or the standard liability limit per kilogram, unless additional insurance is purchased.
Inland Express shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, including:
· Loss of profits
· Business interruption
· Loss of market value
9. Payment Terms
Shipping charges must be paid according to the agreed service terms.
Inland Express reserves the right to:
· Hold shipments until payment is completed
· Charge additional fees for storage, customs delays, or special handling
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of the country where Inland Express operates its primary business operations.
11. Changes to Terms
Inland Express reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most recent version will always be available on the company website.
